His Grace Bishop Benedict of Astoria Ordained Bishop

On Thursday, March 1/14, Hieromonk Benedict was ordained (consecrated) to the dignity of Bishop by His Beatitude Archbishop Kallinikos of Athens and All Greece, together with other hierarchs of our Church, at the Holy Monastery of the Archangels in Athikia, Corinth, where His Eminence Metropolitan Emeritus Pavlos and His Grace Bishop Maximus were also ordained.. He will serve as the auxiliary to His Eminence Metropolitan Demetrius of America, and he was granted the title "of Astoria."
