On Saturday Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, 2013 (church calendar) His Grace, Bishop Demetrius of Boston celebrated the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Forerunner in the parish of Sts. Peter and Paul in Mount Union, PA. Concelebrating together with His Grace were Fr. Nicodemos Gayle the parish of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Glen Allen, VA and Fr. George Psaromatis from the parish of St. Nicholas of Myra in Crofton, MD. Laity from Virginia and Maryland were also in attendance.
St. John of Kronstadt Orthodox Church began as a mission parish in the year 2000, in a home chapel in Palm Coast, FL – a small town on Florida’s northeast coast located between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. Q. I noticed that we call the angels Michael and Gabriel "Saint." I thought the title "Saint" was only given to humans who have proven themselves Godly. Do you mind clarifying this for me? Is there a deeper meaning to "Saint" that I am not aware of?
